Peggy Baldwin: Bio

Peggy Baldwin's life-long commitment to the cello was inspired by her mother, who is a professional cellist in the Seattle area. Peggy's study of music took her from the Pacific Northwest to California, where she graduated with honors from the University of Southern California. Shortly thereafter, she won principle chair with the Fresno Philharmonic, where she earned recognition for her orchestral solos. In addition to performing with a wide variety of symphonies and chamber music groups, she developed a serious interest in studio work and exploring the voice of the cello in unique musical settings. She has done numerous recording sessions for movies and has performed on several albums, including those of Kiss, Maroon 5 and George Harrison. Peggy has worked with a wide spectrum of artists, ranging from Dionne Warwick, Henry Mancini and Yanni to ELO, Rod Stewart, Stevie Wonder and Brian Wilson. She has also had the privilege of appearing on a few T.V. shows, some of which include The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Ellen DeGeneres, Sharon Osborne, The Dick Clark New Year's Eve Countdown, VH1 Storytellers and American Idol. As her musical abilities evolve, Peggy continues to seek new musical experiences, including solo album projects, the first of which has recently been released and is titled,

"String Of Whispers."
