Christine Reisner: Bio
Christine Reisner, a native of Tenafly,
New Jersey, studied dance, musical theater, voice, violin and acting throughout
her childhood.
Reisner toured internationally as a dancer with such companies as the Nikolais Dance Theatre before returning to her musical aspirations. A longtime student of Broadway composer Albert Hague (her uncle), she went on to perform in New York City revivals of Promises Promisesand Can Can, the Pepsi Cola industrial show at the MGM Grand Hotel and other shows.
Rosella Hightower's invitation to teach at Le Centre de Dance International in Cannes brought Reisner back to France in 1983. While there Reisner created a one-woman show for Le Ferme de Mougins and starred at Le Nouvelle Eve Cabaret. She performed with jazz musicians in numerous concerts and in clubs.
In 2009 she began to fulfill her longtime dream as a recording artist: "Beginner's Luck" received a rave review by Fanfare magazine and has received airplay around the country and by Jonathan Schwartz on WNYC FM. Reisner followed with two cabaret acts, "Songs of Albert Hague" and "Unearthing Treasures," performed in 2010 at The Metropolitan Room in New York. Reisner's latest release, "Christmas With Uncle Albert," features two Hague classics from How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
