Legendary Record Producer/Artist Todd Rundgren returns with his newest album Todd Rundgren's Johnson: 12 classic songs written by bluesman Robert Johnson, to commemorate the centennial of Mr. Johnson's birth. Songs include "Crossroads", "Sweet Home Chicago" plus ten more, recorded at Rundgren's studio in Kauai, Utopia Sound. Todd played everything except bass, which was played by ex-Utopian Kasim Sulton. His last album from MPCA Records was 2008's Arena, a hard rocking collection of songs written, performed and produced by Todd. Highlights from the album included "Strike", "Courage" and "Mountaintop". A Wizard, A True Star. The title of Todd Rundgren's 1973 solo album aptly sums up the contributions of this multi-faceted artist to state-of-the-art music. As a songwriter, video pioneer, producer, recording artist, computer software developer, conceptualist, and, most recently, interactive artist (re-designated TR-i), Rundgren has made a lasting impact on both the form and content of popular music.
