Faure's classic love songs now swinging in English

As a follow-up to their acclaimed first album Au bord de leau, The Jazz Faure Project, is proud to release: 'By The Riverbank.' Eighteen Faure masterpieces and an ensemble of show-stopping singers. The hit songs of 19th century French composer Gabriel Faure have been given the 21st century velvet treatment-from swing to bossa, wistful ballad to blues- arranged by Dennis Luxion and Bobby Schiff for jazz quartet and two singers. Now swinging in English, with lyrics by Arnold Johnston.

The Jazz Faure Project presents nationally-acclaimed Johnny Rodgers, Chicago cabaret favorites KT McCammond, Elizabeth Doyle, John Eskola, Sean Harris, musical theatre favorites Jeny Wasilewski, Sean Effinger-Dean and Amanda Hartley, and the Project's creator, one of America's renowned singers of French song Claudia Hommel. The band is led by noted pianist-arrangers Bobby Schiff and Dennis Luxion, with Jerry DiMuzio and Tim McNamara on flute, clarinet, soprano and tenor saxophone, Steve Roberts on guitar and mandolin, Jim Cox on bass, and
Tim Davis on drums.
