Allen Savedoff: Bio

Allen Savedoff holds a B.M. Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford; M.M. University of Michigan. Former faculty member at Augusta College, Georgia and St. Cloud State University, Minnesota. Member of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Pacific Symphony, Opera Pacific and the California Philharmonic. Savedoff has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, LA Philharmonic New Music Group, Music Center Opera, LA Chamber Orchestra, Pasadena Symphony, Glendale Symphony and LA Master Chorale. Studio work includes recording for feature films and television. He has recorded two CDs: Contradiction, a collection of jazz standards for contrabassoon; and most recently, SavoirFaire, a classical album for bassoon and contrabassoon. Both are available
on Capstone Records.

    Allen Savedoff has been a member of the Pacific Symphony since 1986 and has performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and many others. Savedoff's studio work includes recording for feature films and television. He has recorded two solo CDs: Contradiction and most recently, SavoirFaire.

    Pacific Symphony enriches the human spirit through superior performances of symphonic music and community engagement. Presenting more than 100 concerts a year and a rich array of education and community programs, the Symphony reaches out to more than 275,000 Orange County residents-from school children to senior citizens.
