Gates & Sheridan: Bio

On January 14, 2006 90 Pound Suburban Housewife Drivin' in Her SUV was played on NPR's Car Talk. After the song (words and music by Rozanne Gates and Suzanne Sheridan, sung by Kira Small) got it's national airing on NPR's "Car Talk" within days it made its debut on iTunes, and hit a chord with drivers, especially those who feel they know or at least had a close call with the driver who is the subject of the lyrics. The response has been phenomenal and major and small market media has been picking up on the buzz. Both writers said although the song's lyrics are humorous they are about a serious problem the nation's dependency on oil and the lives being lost in a war where "Texas Tea" is a major issue." This song will work for you as just music or to accompany a news/talk piece on the gas guzzling SUV.
