Legendary Oscar-winning composer John Williams has announced a spectacular series of live orchestral screenings for 2018, which mark his first live performance in the UK for 22 years. The 86-year-old conductor will helm a live performance at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the venue's season of musical film screenings to celebrate his 60 year career. Williams has won four Academy Awards for Best Original Score over his six-decade long career, and has written music for such films as Star Wars, Jaws, E.T, Indiana Jones, Home Alone, Saving Private Ryan, and Harry Potter, to name a few. Reunited with the London Symphony Orchestra, the orchestra that recorded his 1977 masterpiece Star Wars: A New Hope among other acclaimed scores, Williams will take the audience on a journey through some of the most successful movie music in living memory.
