Alexis Ffrench becomes scala radio 'Composer in Residence'

scala radio writes.....Alexis Ffrench is one of the UK's most distinctive artists. In addition to presenting his weekly Sunday afternoon show on Scala Radio, he will take on a new position as Composer in Residence.

Alexis has been composing a piece of music each month in response to stories sent in by Scala Radio listeners.

So far, Alexis has composed pieces for listeners including Headteacher of Clarendon Academy, John Kipps, who wanted to express his gratitude to all the staff, parents & pupils for their hard work during a difficult past 18 months. David Scott was another listener who reached out to us earlier in the year to share his moving story about how climbing mountains helped save his life.

Most recently, Alexis wrote a piece for Prince's Trust Day to celebrate the incredible work which has been achieved by The Prince's Trust of the last 46 years.

For Alexis' next Composer in Residence piece, we're looking ahead to World Kindness Day on 15th November. We want to hear your stories about people who have displayed acts of kindness.

If there's someone who you feel deserves a musical ‘thank you', get in touch now.
