If you want to feel good, Diana Krall says, go to the Benedum, Downtown, on Tuesday night. "It's a very uplifting, feel-good [show]," she says, focusing on the Great American Songbook. The pianist-vocalist is in the midst of a tour supporting a new CD, "Turn Up the Quiet," that's "more of a jazz record," than she's done lately. It was produced by Tommy LiPuma, who died in March. During Jazz Appreciation Month in April, she mentioned on Sirius XM Radio that she was thrilled to hear Oscar Peterson and Ella Fitzgerald. Today, she says, "I think everyone who is a jazz musician is, and would be, inspired by them."  As for coming here, "Pittsburgh audiences are traditionally amazing for me," she says. "It's one of my favorite places to come to."
