Other than the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and such, it's hard to think of a band that's been around longer than the Blind Boys of Alabama. With roots dating back to the late 1930s, when the founding members met at the Alabama Institute for the Negro Blind, the Blind Boys of Alabama run has spanned several musical eras and continues today. Justin Verson of Bon Iver, Merrill Garbus of  tUnE-yArDs and Jamey Johnson are some of the contemporary musicians who've recently worked with the gospel quintet. The Blind Boys of Alabama are set to play the Ludlow Garage in Clifton, this Friday Nov. 11.
