Which genre headlines 'Musikfest' the most? / lehighvalleylive

Each year, Musikfest delivers an eclectic bill, with hundreds of artists performing throughout Bethlehem. But which genre has gotten the most love on the festival's main stage over the years? We wanted to find out. Looking back at the festival's 35 years of lineups, we tallied the genres that have most often been represented on the biggest bandstand - whether that was Kuntsplatz, Riverplace or today's Steel Stage. 

For most of the artists, we picked the single category that best encapsulated their style. In cases where an act truly straddles the line between two genres, we counted it in both categories. (Musical styles can be nebulous, so subjective calls were sometimes necessary.) Co-headliners on a single night were treated as one act for counting purposes, as the goal was to get a sense of how often each genre has been booked for Musikfest's main stage.  Joan Baez and Ray Charles are featured.
