The BSO with Batiashvili in a luminous Szymanowski concerto / WCRB

On Saturday, February 9, and Monday, February 18, WCRB: Boston, Violinist Lisa Batiashvili is the soloist in Szymanowski's Violin Concerto No. 1, with Andris Nelsons conducting the Boston Symphony in Copland's majestic Third Symphony. The program includes;

Following her acclaimed album with the Staatskapelle Berlin and Daniel Barenboim, Tchaikovsky & Sibelius Violin Concertos, Batiashvili recently released - Visions of Prokofiev, with the Chamber Orchestra of Europe conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin. The album features Prokofiev's two violin concertos as well as select movements from his famous ballets (Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet, The Love for Three Oranges), newly arranged for solo violin and orchestra by Lisa's father, Tamás Batiashvili.
