The Galway's are magnificent on last night of Bury St Edmunds Festival / Norfolk Eastern Daily Press

This last night of the Bury St Edmunds Festival was celebrated with the world-renowned Sir James Galway performing to a packed house. His mastery of the flute is legendary and yet he makes it seem so easy. You felt the audience were in awe of this man and his music. Sir James has a wicked and mischievous sense of humour and the glint in his eyes reinforces how much enjoyment he is getting out of his performance. He chats away between pieces with his audience and the fun appears mutual.

Joining him on stage was his wife Lady (Jeanne) Galway on the flute and also throughout was Michael McHale on the piano. Eleven pieces were packed into the evening, with the most well-known being Clair de Lune by Debussy and were all magnificently performed.
