Joshua Bell with the world's best-known chamber orchestra, the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields returns to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday March 25, 2018, to perform a new Edgar Meyer commission for violin and orchestra (one composed with Bell in mind), as well as Henryk Wieniawski's Violin Concerto No. 2. The program concludes with a performance of Beethoven's Symphony No. 6.

Bell's last recording with the ASMF had the violiniist/conductor set with cellist Steven Isserlis and pianist Jeremy Denk in a landmark recording - 'For the Love of Brahms' on Sony Classical.  The album is a unique project that features works of Brahms and Schumann that Bell calls "music about love and friendship."
