Betty Buckley Pulls Out all the Stops

Betty Buckley, pianist/arranger Kenny Werner, and their ensemble "pull out all the stops" in familiar favorite ballads from hit shows and more modest origins.

In June 2006 I was asked to play the legendary Blue Note Jazz Club in New York City, with my long time ensemble of musicians. I was thrilled with the invitation. The opportunity inspired me to ask my musical director Kenny Werner to pull out all the stops and give me the kind of charts that let us run free. That's what he did. After almost eighteen years of collaboration I think he has outdone himself here. His glorious arrangements set my soul free and allow me to sing with abandon, in this, our sixth studio album and, in all, our ninth recording together.
