Angèle Dubeau will receive today the Denise-Pelletier Award, the highest honour bestowed on one person for their outstanding contribution to the performing arts in Quebec, during the ceremony for the Prix du Québec 2019 at the Parliament Building in Quebec City.

This exceptional musician, one of our best soloists on the international stage, is also a citizen of great generosity. An indefatigable person, bursting with energy, Angèle Dubeau continues to have a prolific artistic output; world-renowned recordings, outstanding concerts, radio shows for the radio of Radio-Canada, movie productions, television series projects, in addition to being the artistic director of the Fête de la Musique de Tremblant and expert consultant for the Mazaam edutainment app. Her contribution to music in Canada for more than 40 years is exceptional.

Pulsations, the violinist's new album, released in October 2019, has been selected as the album of the week by prestigious radio stations such as KDFC in San Francisco, Classic FM in London and is currently #1 on the classical chart of The New Classical 96.3 FM station in Toronto. The works from this album will be presented in concert at Palais Montcalm in Quebec City on November 9th and, again, at Salle Bourgie in Montreal on March 8th, 2020.
