Paris Combo set for City Recital Hall / The Sydney Morning Herald

Paris Combo's new album Tako Tsubo – named after a rare medical condition colloquially called "broken-heart syndrome" – is a showcase of the band's diverse range of styles united by Belle du Barry's cheekily seductive delivery of the witty lyrics. The album also, in part, reflects a new-found vigour in the band after they decided to take an extended break in 2005. "That has been so beneficial," says Australian multi-instrumentalist David Lewis. "We got back together in 2010/11 and everyone felt more strongly how precious the group was to us all." Paris Combo is set to play the City Recital Hall on March 18.
