Hot Sardines play UP, and party really gets started / Bradford Era

It was a darkened, smoky room, filled with laughter and high spirits as the infectious, upbeat jazz of The Hot Sardines filled the air - well, not really. But that's what it felt like at the Bromeley Family Theater at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford on Saturday night during the last concert of the season for Pitt-Bradford's Prism series. Musicians Mike Sailors on trombone and cornet; Jason Prover on trumpet; Nick Myers on saxophone and clarinet; Alex Raderman on drums; Evan "Sugar" Crane on sousaphone and upright bass; and tap dancer "Fast Eddie" Francisco joined bandleader and pianist Evan "Bibs" Palazzo on stage as the show began, transporting the audience to an old-time jazz club. And the party really got started when lead singer "Miz Elizabeth" Bougerol took the stage.
