The Hot Sardines play NYC's SummerStage / Bandsintown

One of the best parts about living in NYC is the incredible programming the City Parks Foundation puts together in the form of SummerStage. What could possibly be better than great music in Central Park in the Big Apple? Not much, we're pretty sure. On June 25, we caught The Hot Sardines for a day of wild jazz that left us tapping our feet and jaunting in the clammy New York summer air.

Formed by bandleader Evan "Bibs" Palazzo and lead singer "Miz Elizabeth" Bougerol, The Hot Sardines have released their sophomore studio album, French Fries & Champagne on Universal Music Classics. The record comes on the heels of their critically lauded self-titled debut album, which was named one of iTunes' best jazz albums of 2014 and spent more than a year on the Billboard Jazz Chart, debuting in the top 10 alongside Michael Bublé and Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga.
