Placido Domingo Pairs with Pop Artists

Placido Domingo - Nessun Dorma

Arguably best known for his work with The Three Tenors, Placido Domingo has struck out on his own once more to release his first pop album in over 20 Years, "Songs." Having sung over 123 different roles, more than any other Tenor, it is no surprise that Domingo slides easily into these new songs ranging from "Besame mucho" a 1940s Mexican classic, to "From This Moment On" originally sung by Shania Twain. Domingo pulls music from classic soundtracks, like The Godfather, Chaplin's Limelight and the more modern Moulin Rouge.

In addition to stirring solo songs,? on his new album the man crowned "The King of Opera" by Newsweek shares his microphone with numerous voices of the modern age, such as "Britain's Got Talent" star Susan Boyle, Josh Groban, Broadway stars Harry Connick Jr. and Megan Hilty, and his son Placido Jr.

In addition to releasing his new Album, and performing around the world, Domingo remains in his position as General Director of the Los Angeles Opera
