Alice Sara Ott, set for NAC Orchestra debut, Q&A's with Ottawa Citizen

German-Japanese pianist Alice Sara Ott, will make her debut with the NAC Orchestra next week. On Ott's second concerto album for Deutsche Grammophon. Wonderland, the panist is joined by Esa-Pekka Salonen who leads the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks. The recording includes; Edvard Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor, which offers profound insights into our common humanity. The work emerged as the natural choice for which is completed by a selection of the composer's Lyric Pieces, and reflects the German-Japanese pianist's affinity for Grieg. 

In an interview with Lynn Saxberg, the classical-music star talked about the the joy of live performance, challenging the rules of the concert hall and finding the right life-work balance, as well as her first foray into fashion design.
