Philip Bailey, co-founder of the genre-spanning band Earth, Wind & Fire, continues to explore new musical avenues in his latest solo project, Love Will Find a Way.

The album features an honor roll of R&B-literate jazz artists, like keyboardist Robert Glasper, trumpeter Christian Scott aTunde Adjuah and tenor saxophonist Kamasi Washington, whose father, Rickey Washington, is a longtime acquaintance. Bailey's expressive vocals also benefit from the fluid work of bassists Christian McBride and Derrick Hodge, and drummers Steve Gadd and Kendrick Scott. There are also cameos from soul shapeshifter Bilal, rapper and producer will.i.am and NEA Jazz Master Chick Corea.

In a recent conversation with WBGO: Newark NJ Sheila Anderson on Salon Sessions, Bailey talked about his time with Earth, Wind & Fire and his latest musical pursuits.  LISTEN
