Jesse Cook set for London Music Hall / The London Free Press

Guitarist Jesse Cook sees music as a means to transcend borders and embrace humanity. Cook brings his considerable talents to London Music Hall Friday, presented by TD Sunfest. Cook is an 11-time Juno nominee who won a Juno for best instrumental album for Free Fall in 2001, and is three-time winner of the Canadian Smooth Jazz award for guitarist of the year. "There are many borders in our lives," wrote Cook of Beyond Borders. "Some have been built by others, some we create for ourselves, but whenever I ventured beyond the borders of my life, I have been the better for it . . . Beauty, humanity, artistry, joy, wisdom and, of course, love - these things don't stop at some line on a page. If music is the universal language, maybe there is something it can teach us?"
