Jan Lisiecki received five standing ovations at the end of his performance Saturday night – I think it was five, I lost count – and the audience would have clapped all night had he let them. Lisiecki, a supremely talented 20-year-old, joined the Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra in playing Ludwig van Beethoven's Fourth Piano Concerto. To understand what he's capable of, think of someone playing a piano. Picture them playing as fast as they can, then picture them playing even faster than that – they've still got nothing onLisiecki.  His brilliance isn't just in how fast he can move his fingers - it's in how he can infuse every single note with expressiveness and emotion. During one moment,Lisiecki played so quietly yet so intensely that the sound of the keys physically striking the piano could be heard as clearly as the notes themselves.
