Guitarist John Scofield with his reunited ‘90s quartet, the gypsy jazz sounds of the Hot Club of Philadelphia, Dee Dee Bridgewater's salute to the Crescent City, and a live set from the Christian McBride Trio. Here's a rundown of this week's 'Featured New Releases.'

Monday 10.19.15 - On the Night Train – the sound of ‘20s swing from contemporary band, the Fat Babies; soul jazz from Organissimo and Dr. Lonnie Smith; Brazilian bassist Nilson Matta's different take on the music of Black Orpheus, which helped introduce bossa nova music internationally; a salute to Thelonious Monk from the Claire Daly Quartet; and classics from Joe Williams, Horace Silver and Lester Young.

Tuesday 10.20.15 - Night Train celebrates birthdays of sax great Eddie Harris, oudist Anouar Brahem (also featured on Global Village tonight) and guitarist and Stephane Grappelli band member Martin Taylor  - including a Savannah Music Festival special with Taylor performing solo and in duets with another acclaimed guitarist, Julian Lage. Also new music from John Scofield, the Hot Club of Philadelphia, and Jacques Lesure.

Wednesday 10.21.15 - Night Train marks several birthdays tonight –legendary jazz trumpeter Dizzy Gillespie, critically acclaimed pianist Fred Hersch (including music from his new Solo album), flutist Ali Ryerson, and bassist Marc Johnson (both as a leader and with jazz piano great Bill Evans). Plus more music from October featured artist Harry ‘Sweets' Edison, and new music from Dee Dee Bridgewater, Eddie Henderson and the Christian McBride Trio.

Thursday 10.22.15 - Night Train marks the birthday of critically acclaimed saxophonist and flutist Jane Bunnett with music from throughout her career, from mainstream recordings to her many excursions into Afro-Cuban jazz. Plus more music from October featured artist Harry ‘Sweets' Edison, new releases, classic recordings and more.
