After releasing an album of the J.S. Bach, Six Cello Suites with EMI in 2005, Sung-Won Yang went back to once again record the Suites, this time for Decca Classics. Recorded at Notre Dame de Bon Secours in Paris, this recording, of one of the most adored pieces in the cello repertoire, benefits from all the natural sound present in the historic 19th century catholic church, and for this reason, the album was mixed specifically to minimize post production. You can experience the maturity and depth of Sung-Won's cello sound as compared with the recording from 13 years ago. Sung-Won Yang's have said that Bach's music provides beyond happiness, yet intellectual and spiritual pieces which makes J.S. Bach, Six Cello Suites holy grail for the cellists.

In conjunction with the recording, Sung-Won Yang took time today, June 28, 2019 to discuss Bach Suites with US based classical radio stations. Watch for our tweets throughout the day
