Ed Calle plays Miami-Dade County Auditorium / El Nuevo Herald

Music is one of the great passions of Ed Calle, venezolanoestadounidense saxophonist and professor at Miami Dade College, who also has the reputation of being one of the performers of this instrument with the largest number of recordings and four Grammy nominations.

He has also worked with such luminaries as Frank Sinatra, Santana and Arturo Sandoval, and is founder of the annual festival Jazz Under the Stars, held at the MDC Kendall Campus. On Sunday 28 we will have another opportunity to admire her art in the concert Dr.Ed Calle Symphony, which will be held in the Miami Dade County Auditorium.

"The idea of the concert and its title is to create an intimate, acoustic and orchestral environment in which the audience will enjoy original orchestrations by renowned teachers," says Street. "The combination of saxophone and strings is always nice, and we want to share those soft and sensual sounds with the public."

The saxophonist will be accompanied by an orchestra of 30 musicians, and, last but not least, will also participate the prestigious Negroni's Trio, another legendary band jazz.

"I'm always excited to share the stage with Joseph and Nomar Negroni, as well as with the teacher Albert Bade and orchestra," says Street. "We will play beloved music worldwide, and is often presented as concerts and movie soundtracks."
