Interview with KMFA's Chris Johnson

Pianist Simone Dinnerstein first came to the world's attention with her self-financed recording of Johann Sebastian Bach's "Goldberg Variations." Dinnerstein attracted the attention of the now-defunct Telarc label who distributed her debut recording. It outsold The White Stripes on Amazon and reached #1 on the Billboard classical chart within a week, and in doing so, launched her career into the stratosphere.

Her most recent album, "Mozart in Havana," is devoted to two piano concertos by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and was recorded in Havana, Cuba with the Havana Lyceum Orchestra. The new album is out now and Dinnerstein joined Rideshare host Chris Johnson to discuss it on KMFA.  LISTEN TO Chris Johnson's Interview with SD on 89.5 - KMFA: Austin
