JAZZIZ' MATT MICUCCI writes....The Week in Jazz is your roundup of new and noteworthy stories from the jazz world. It's a one-stop destination for the music news you need to know. Let's take it from more Verve/UMe Acoustic Sounds Vinyl Reissues.

Verve/UMe have reissued two more great albums as part of their acclaimed Acoustic Sounds audiophile reissue series. They are Clifford Brown and Max Roach's hard bop classic A Study in Brown (1955), George Russell's innovative New York,  NY (1959) and Peggy Lee's sumptuous Decca debut, Black Coffee (1956). Each LP is mastered in stereo from the original tapes, pressed on 180-gram vinyl and packaged in high-quality tip-on gatefold jackets.
