Piano legend George Winston will bring a "Restless Wind" to the Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall in Munhall on April 5. That is the title of his 15th album (due May 3), on which he performs music by Sam Cooke, The Doors, Stephen Stills, George and Ira Gershwin, Country Joe McDonald and others. "Ultimately, the main reason these 11 songs were chosen was how as instrumental pieces they worked well with each other in this sequence, the same way I have worked for all the albums I've recorded," he said in a statement.

The 69-year-old pianist, who was born in Montana, became popular in the early ‘80s when he signed to Windham Hill for a series of New Age albums that included "Autumn," "December" and "Summer." The concert benefits the Creative Arts Program, which will provide scholarships for families who otherwise cannot afford to pay for music therapy out of pocket.
