Tony Bennett has a knack for choosing the perfect people to record with. At age 92, the crooner has five duet albums under his belt, mostly with all-star personnel. Love Is Here To Stay finds Bennett paired with his longtime friend Diana Krall, and the chemistry is magical. Each known for their cool delivery, the pair is backed by the impeccable Bill Charlap Trio, which, in my mind, makes this a true jazz album. The repertoire is Gershwin; so listening to this release is the perfect way to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the birth of George Gershwin that was on September 26th, 2018.
