Born in Arezzo, Italy, Vittorio Grigolo is the quintessential Italian tenor. An ode to Naples”, the documentary about Naples by the British director Trudie Styler produced by Big Sur, Mad Entertainment with Rai Cinema in co-production with Luce Cinecittà.

The opera singer, one of the most famous Italian opera voices in the world, had been missing from London for six years, and at the end of the screening he performed arias from the Neapolitan and operatic repertoire for an exceptional audience: among others, listening to him, Sting – who is Trudie Styler's husband and participated in the documentary -, Hugh Grant, Kiefer Sutherland and many other actors and protagonists of the film and music scene.

Also in the room Paul From Brocco, president of Rai Cinema, the director of the Italian Cultural Institute in London Francesco Bongarrà and the Italian consul Alessandro Mignini.

“My motto, my vocation is to bring Italian opera to the world: I intend to do so until the end: I will continue to vibrate expressing what comes from the soul,” said the tenor at the end of his highly applauded performance, hinting that after his Rigoletto at La Scala, he may be in sight for a return to Covent Garden after a six-year absence from the British capital’s stage.
