Vittorio Grigolo - The Romantic Hero / Winnipeg Free Press review
Since first bursting onto the scene with 2006 pop shmaltz album In the Hands of Love, Italian lyric tenor Vittorio Grigolo has morphed from crossover artist to serious opera star, with six albums to date. The Grammy-nominated singer wears his heart on his sleeve in this ooh-la-la collection of French opera arias, The Romantic Hero. The 12 tracks, featuring lushly scored music by Massenet, Gounod, Biz...
Vittorio Grigolo - The Romantic Hero / Classical Candor review
Here is the next installment in a series of recordings by the Italian operatic tenor I've only recently heard of. That's still not saying much, however, because I know very little about the current state of things operatic. Whatever, The Romantic Hero is Vittorio Grigolo's fifth solo album, most of them devoted to short operatic selections rather than full-length operas. It doesn't seem t...

Born in Arezzo, Tuscany and raised in Rome, Vittorio Grigòlo was only four when he discovered his passion for music, becoming a soloist in the Sistine Chapel choir. Within a few years, he was appearing aroun...

Vittorio Grigolo - The Romantic Hero / The Buffalo News review
Tenor Vittorio Grigolo has been making a name for himself at the Metropolitan Opera, recently singing Rudolfo in "La Boheme." Before that, he made a name for himself in Italy, where he grew up singing in the Sistine Chapel. I liked a disc of sacred music he released not long ago, titled Ave Maria. The Romantic Hero shows a different side of him. But no one can argue that it is an alluring side. Grigo...
