Interview with IPR's Amanda Sewell

Stephen Edwards is best known for his work as a film composer. When his mother passed away in 2006, he composed a Requiem mass in her memory. "Requiem for My Mother" is now commercially available for the first time. Edwards recently spoke with Classical IPR's Amanda Sewell about the compositional process for the piece, what his mother thought of his compositions, and why his time as a camper at Interlochen in the 1970s was so important to his later career as a professional musician. Hear an extended version of the interview below.
