For her latest album Vasks: Presence (Sony Classical) - cellist Sol Gabetta has recorded works by one of her friends, the contemporary Latvian composer Peteris Vasks. At the heart of album is the world-premiere recording of the composer's Second Cello Concerto, Klatbutne - Presence, a lyrically cantabile and tonally sensuous work that is dedicated to the cellist, which she premiered in 2012 with the Amsterdam Sinfonietta under Candida Thompson.

Beethoven - Triple Concerto

For Beethoven's famous Triple Concerto Op. 56, world renowned cellist Sol Gabetta teamed up with fellow musicians and friends violinist Giuliano Carmignola, soloist of the Venice Baroque Orchestra, Dejan Lazic, the young talented pianist, and Giovanni Antonini, conductor of the Kammerorchester Basel. Available January 8, Beethoven: Triple Concerto (Sony Classical) features the famous Beethoven concerto along with three of his greatest overtures, Prometheus, Egmont and Coriolan.
