Pamela Sklar's beautiful tone can be heard on film soundtracks and recordings formany well-known artists including Tony Bennett, Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin and Natalie Cole. Her live performances have included principal & solo flute with Alan Hovhaness at the Metropolitan Museum of Art (NY), TV appearances with tenor Andrea Bocelli, the Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards with Joel Grey, concerts with Dave Brubeck, premieres of music by Leonard Bernstein with her own trio, and orchestras for the GRAMMY Awards. For many years, Pamperformed extensively with French crossover pianist & composer Claude Bolling, appearing also with jazz greats Hubert Laws, Jack Wilkins and Larry Coryell. Currently recording her 2nd original cd, Pam performs as soloist, inregional orchestras, and with various groups playing contemporary, blues, rock& improvisational, and collaborates with ensembles as a composer & performer. Her music for five flutes & organ is included in Lincoln Center Library's special collection and much of her other work has also been commissioned/premiered/performed/broadcast by various NY-area ensembles.
