Trio Settecento:

A German Bouquet

Trio Settecento, Rachel Barton Pine, Violin, John Mark Rozendaal, Viola Da Gamba & Cello and David Schrader, Harpsichord And Organ, was formed in 1997, and has always been focused on historical accuracy of instrumentation. Their latest release: A German Bouquet, presents a new palate of colors using a variety instruments that enhance their interpretations. On this album, the trio experimented extensively and carefully to choose the particular instruments that were best suited to each piece or movement. For instance, the inclusion of the positiv organ required significant adjustments. The change from a plucked instrument to a wind instrument altered everything from their tempi to articulations and most fundamental ideas about mood and character.
