Mashkoor Ali Khan set for Williams College, makes Northeast Public Radio's 'Rogovoy Report'

The weekend highlights in our region include husband and wife folk-pop; impressionist works on paper; Indian classical vocals; roots-rock-reggae; stars of the dubstep scene, and a whole lot more. Indian classical vocalist Ustad Mashkoor Ali Khan brings his rich repertoire of rare ragas and compositions to Brooks-Rogers Recital Hall at Williams College in Williamstown on Monday  at 8pm. Khan is one of the primary living masters of the Kirana gharana musical style. As the grandson of Ustad Abdul Karim Khan, he is a descendant of the gharana's family lineage.
