The concept behind Motets goes back in time and celebrates Jenkins' well known works from the past in a newly arranged intimate sound– accessible and emotional.
Motets is an a capella album featuring the talents of small English choir, Polyphony under the direction of Stephen Layton, which Encore Magazine recently declared as "possibly the best small professional chorus in the world." The album also marks the year of Jenkins' 70th birthday and fifty years of his career in music. This past May, Jenkins gave a special 70th Birthday Concert at Royal Albert Hall in London.
