Albany Records just released composer Gernot Wolfgang's chamber music CD VIENNA AND THE WEST. The album is a follow-up to his CD PASSING THROUGH, which received rave reviews and went on to be nominated for a 2016 GRAMMY Award in the category Best Classical Compendium.

GRAMMY nominated Rich Breen was the engineer for these sessions.
On 'Vienna and the West,' Gernot Wolfgang creates a hybrid musical language all his own / Mainly Piano
Subtitled "Groove-Oriented Chamber Music, Vol. 4," Vienna and the West is part of a series of albums by composer Gernot Wolfgang that includes Common Ground (2006), Short Stories (2011) and Grammy-nominated Passing Through (2016). This album is the first of Wolfgang's music that I've heard, so I can't compare it to his previous recordings, but I love that he has created a hybrid genre of sorts that combi...
Gernot Wolfgang displays a unique compositional voice on 'From Vienna With Love' / Classical CD Reviews
I love discovering new 21st Century music. Over the past few years, I have gained much pleasure from composers such as Guillaume Connesson, Joseph Phibbs, Kenneth Fuchs and Paul Patterson. Gernot Wolfgang's Groove-Oriented Chamber Music is treated subtly and artfully on Vienna and the West / textura
Not for the first time, the subtitle "Groove-Oriented Chamber Music" appears on the cover of a Gernot Wolfgang release, which in the most regrettable imagining would amount to some vulgar orchestral-techno mashup. Vienna and the West thankfully commits no such offence, and the term itself functions more as a hook to grab the listener's attention. The gesture reflects the Austrian-born, LA-based compo...
