One of Canada's most celebrated homegrown artists, and Award-Winning singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist's, Daniela Nardi releases her stunning new CD: Espresso Manifesto, The Songs of Paolo Contee on Acronym Records/EMI Music Canada. Nardi shares her signature interpretations of songs by the legendary Italian artist Paolo Conte, whose stature in Italy is comparable to that of Jacques Brel in France or Tom Waits in America. This is adventurous territory in the Italian Songbook. Material that is sometimes dark and ironic, and which draws on Conte's more vulnerable and emotional side. Powerful testimony to the composers genius.
