Arturo Sandoval in town on Dear Diz tour, makes Dan DeLuca's 'Philly.com' mix picks

Arturo Sandoval. The Cuban jazz trumpeter who defected to the U.S. in the late 1980s with the help of his hero Dizzy Gillespie (and then-Vice President Dan Quayle)  is celebrating Gillespie's centenary. On his Dear Diz tour, the bandleader, who recently scored that "Dive" iPhone 7 commercial, is playing an afternoon show in Blue Bell before embarking on a five-night stand at the Blue Note in New York.  Arturo Sandoval will play an afternoon concert this Sunday, 4p at Montgomery County Community College.
